Munich Early Evening Seminar

We will be holding our inaugural Early Evening Seminar in Munich on 18 October at the premises of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP.

The seminar is entitled "Recent trends and developments in the German and international loan markets".

This seminar will open with a panel discussion on the recent trends and developments in the German and international loan markets, focusing on topics such as negative interest rates, the competitiveness of the loan product and the impact (if any) of Brexit. This panel will feature views from those who lend to, advise and execute transactions for participants in the syndicated loan market.

Following this will be a summary of the key legal issues impacting the market, including a look at the inherent conflict between German and non-German parties to a facility agreement as regards sanctions and the treatment of up-front fees under the German rules on general terms of business/standard form contracts in light of recent court decisions.

The event is free of charge and open to LMA Members only. Registration will open at 4.15 pm. The seminar will start at 5.00 pm, will be presented in German and will last approx one hour, followed by a legal update for 30 minutes.The seminar will close at 6.30pm with a drinks reception to which all attendees are welcome to join.
