The future of the loan market is in the hands of our young members. That’s why the LMA believes investing in their development is crucial to shaping the industry’s future. To bring this vision to life, we launched ‘FutureLend’, our first-ever conference dedicated to empowering the next generation of lenders, in May. Following its great success, we are excited to announce the second ‘FutureLend’ conference—this time taking place in November in Frankfurt.
FutureLend Conference, 19 November 2024
‘FutureLend’ is a full-day, interactive event designed to equip ambitious young professionals with the tools they need to excel in the loan markets.
From building your personal brand to exploring cutting-edge technology, the agenda will cover essential topics that help you create an extraordinary career in finance. Through various working groups, you’ll get hands-on exposure to real-world scenarios, enhancing your ability to assess, react, and develop critical skills.
Who is speaking?
In addition to a lineup of senior professionals, we’re excited to announce that Nicolas Hamilton, a British racing driver will be sharing their expertise and insights with us.
Stay tuned for more details as we bring together some of the brightest minds in the industry!
Nicolas Hamilton
Nicolas Hamilton defied expectations by overcoming cerebral palsy to pursue his dream of becoming a professional racing driver. Once told he’d never walk, he now competes in the British Touring Car Championship—the first disabled driver to do so. Starting in the Renault Clio Cup, he quickly advanced to the European Touring Car Cup, demonstrating resilience despite financial setbacks. Off the track, he shares his story to inspire others, emphasising that ambition is limited only by mindset. He also contributes to Channel 4’s Formula One coverage.

Registration is by invitation only – delegates cannot register their interest directly through the LMA website.
Eligible delegates must be put forward by a participating organisation and receive a confirmation email from the LMA to be able to attend.
The participating organisations have been agreed by the LMA. For queries please contact Sophie Turner (sophie.turner@lma.eu.com).
Junior professionals (members with two to four years’ market experience) working at participating banks, institutional investors and technology providers are eligible to be nominated.
The event, which includes lunch and drinks, is free of charge.
Delegates do not need to work in the loan markets, however they should be interested in lending.
Delegates do not need to prepare for FutureLend since the conference will not be focused on technical knowledge.
We will be launching the FutureLend LinkedIn group prior to the event so that delegates can connect with their peers and speakers.
Given the limited number of spaces at FutureLend, delegates must attend for the full day. If a delegate needs to cancel, they must give as much warning as possible.
The LMA will be holding a FutureLend conference in Europe later in 2024.
