What is a virtual conference?

We are committed to supporting our members through these challenging times, and therefore we are pleased to deliver our annual conference in this new virtual format using the WorkCast technology platform. WorkCast virtual event software is cloud-based, secure and scalable, so we can safely and effectively take our annual conference online. The platform requires no plugins or downloads, so we can stream our conference to all our members wherever they are based. Delegates will be able to navigate around a virtual environment, where they can interact with speakers and sponsors, whilst visiting a number of different aspects, including: session auditorium, networking lounges/chat rooms, specific zones and sponsor/exhibitor booths. Within these areas, attendees can watch live presentations from speakers, exhibitors and sponsors.

We will also be using an event app for this conference, which speakers, delegates and sponsors can access in advance of the event to assist with their networking.

How do I register?

In order to register for the conference, you will need to log in to the LMA website. If your organisation is an LMA member, you should be able to log in to the website. If you do not have your own log-in details, you can register for these by following this link. Registration for the conference itself is through our virtual platform provider, WorkCast. Once you are logged into the LMA website, you will be able to access the link to the WorkCast registration page on the Conference webpage.

How will I know if my registration has been successful ?

Once you have registered for the conference, you will receive an automated notification email from donotreply@lma.eu.com. If you have not received an email, please check your spam folders and speak to your IT team. You may need to re-register for the event once WorkCast has been added to your safe senders list. If you still do not receive the registration email, please contact the LMA on registration.lmaconference@lma.eu.com.

If I miss a session can I watch it later ?

Yes, all sessions will be made available on-demand at a later date. All details will be provided nearer the time.

Is the virtual conference free to access ?

Yes, the conference is free of charge for all LMA members.

Are there restrictions on number of people who can attend?

At present, there are no capacity restrictions on the number of people who can register from any one organisation or the number of people in total who can register.

How do I access the virtual conference ?

If your registration has been successful, you will be given instructions nearer the time on how to join the conference which will be via a specific URL. You will be required to enter your email address before entering the conference platform so make sure you register using your work email address which will be the same email address you use to gain access on 22/23 September.

How do I interact with other attendees and speakers ?

Delegates can interact with each other, speakers and the LMA using the text-based real-time messaging system in the different networking chatrooms related to the different topics featured on the agenda.

There will also be a live chat function for delegates to interact with exhibitors when visiting their booths.

Please do test your connection here. If it shows your connection is insufficient, please speak to you IT department to check internet connection and firewall settings.

I have trouble accessing the virtual event platform

This can be for either of the following reasons:

1. Your company firewall is restricting access to the virtual platform. In that case you will need to either speak to your IT department to gain access, or attend from a personal device, or any device that is not connected to your company's firewall.
2. Your email address is not recognised. If this is the case, please contact registration.lmaconference@lma.eu.com, so we can find out what the issue is and help you gain access.

Can I still register on the day ?

If the event is already live you can still register at anytime and then join by clicking on the "Join Event" button in the automatic confirmation email which you will receive from DO-NOT-REPLY@lma.eu.com. If you do not receive this confirmation after 20 minutes please check your spam folder. If it is not in there please contact registration.lmaconference@lma.eu.com.
