Syndicated Loans Conference

LMA Syndicated Loans Conference
7 September 2016, 9.00 am - 7.30 pm
QE2 Conference Centre, Broad Sanctuary, London SW1P 3EE, UK
A record number of 900 delegates attended the LMA's 9th annual conference on 7 September at The QEII Conference Centre in Westminster. The conference continues to be the flagship event for the syndicated loan market in EMEA.
The theme this year was "20 Years of the LMA", to celebrate the LMA's 20 years anniversary as the authoritative voice of the syndicated loan market.
Fittingly, also this year our membership has reached a new record high of over 638 organisations, proving that we are more relevant than ever and remain fully representative of the loan product and each sector of the market. Our success is attributable to our ongoing focus on four core areas of activity: lobbying, education, market guidelines and documentation.
The programme covered leveraged finance, loan operations, developing markets, as well as restructuring, private placements, and much more. Click here to view the conference brochure with the agenda, speaker biographies and articles by Clifford Chance and S&P Global Ratings.
Audience Voting
As usual the audience was given the opportunity to vote on questions related to the market and 40% of respondents believe that the economic situation in emerging markets will drive the syndicated loan market over the next 12 months. 39% also believe that the volume expectations in the EMEA syndicated loan market will remain rather unchanged for the next 12 months.
