We are pleased to offer our third APL/LMA REF Quarterly Series for Junior REF Professionals virtually on 23 September 2021.

The third LMA/APL Quarterly Series seminar of 2021 will focus on the topic of “Real Estate Finance - Security and Guarantees” and will cover the following:

Security

  • types of security and why lenders take them;
  • common security documents in REF transactions; and
  • key practical issues on security.

    • Guarantees

  • an introduction to guarantees, including who might grant a guarantee on a REF transaction and why lenders take them;
  • types of guarantee; and
  • key practical issues on guarantees.

    • This session will also provide an introduction to cross border issues relating to security and guarantees and will cover some key takeaway points to consider when dealing with security and guarantees in the real estate finance context.

    This seminar is for those with up to 3 years' experience in the market.
