We are delighted to invite you to the LMA Sustainable Finance Conference on Thursday, 7 November 2024, at A&O Shearman, One Bishops Square, London, E1 6AD.

This year’s conference theme is inspired by Homer’s Odyssey, as we believe achieving sustainability is a unique journey. Just like Odysseus navigating perilous challenges to reach the calm shore, the path to sustainability has not been straightforward—and likely never will be. It requires us to collaborate, sail through challenges, and build an ecosystem that works for all of us.

Why attend?

Chaired by our Head of Sustainability, Gemma Lawrence-Pardew, this flagship event is designed to engage senior leaders from financial institutions and investors in the loan and broader debt markets, as well as legal and advisory professionals. 

With top-level speakers, we’ll focus on the “journeys” in sustainable finance, highlighting the various pathways to achieving net-zero goals and emphasising the importance of tailoring approaches for different stakeholders.

What will be discussed?

Key topics include:

• The Future of Finance: A panel discussion on the investability of sustainability and the role finance plays in supporting green initiatives.
• Sustainability in Supply Chains: Examining how finance can drive sustainability within supply chain management.
• Geopolitics of Sustainability: An exploration of how global political events, including over 70 elections in 2024, will shape sustainability efforts.

This event is free of charge and for LMA members, and selected non-members by invite only.

The event will begin with registration and a networking lunch at 12:00, followed by the seminar starting at 13:00. The seminar will conclude at 17:00, followed by a drinks and networking reception open to all attendees.

Cancellation Policy

This is an extremely popular event which attracts a long waiting list. You can cancel your attendance by 5.00 pm (UK time) on 5 November 2024, emailing registration.lmaevents@lma.eu.com. Failure to notify us or cancelling after this date, will result in your place being forfeited at the conference next year.

Swapping from in-person to virtual attendance

If you can no longer attend in person and would like to book a virtual place instead, you must notify us in writing at registration.lmaevents@lma.eu.com before you proceed to booking your virtual place via the website. If you fail to notify us that you no longer need you in-person place, the cancellation policy mentioned above will apply.
